Oslo, June 13, 2024. The FRIHETEN newspaper, of the Norwegian Communist Party (NKP), published the text in Norwegian of the statement issued on May 15th by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba entitled “The United States must remove Cuba, once and for all, from the List of States that allegedly sponsor terrorism”, that reads as follows:
The patrol vessel ‘HMCS Margaret Brooke’ of the Royal Canadian Navy will call on Havana´s port this June 14. The visit, which will extend until June 17, will be taking place on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of our uninterrupted diplomatic relations with that country and the fiftieth anniversary of our bilateral cooperation.
This vessel belongs to a new series of ships that was recently introduced in the Royal Canadian Navy. Its visit to our country highlights bilateral cooperation as a contribution to peace in our region.
Training ship ‘AB Simón Bolívar’ will visit the port of Santiago de Cuba from June 15 to 19 this year. This visit takes place as part of the Thirty Fourth International Training Voyage in 2024.
Oslo, June 10, 2024. The Ambassador of Cuba to the Kingdom of Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, held a meeting with Helle Biseth, official at the Food Section, of the Department of Climate and Environment, of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).
During the meeting, they exchanged on the cooperation program "Agriculture for Development", launched by NORAD last year based on Norway's strategy for promoting food security within the framework of its official development aid policy. (Embacuba Norway)
