Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs receives the copies of the Letters of Credence of the Ambassador-designate of Norway in Cuba, John Petter Opdahl

Oslo, September 4, 2024. Yesterday, the Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo received the copies of the Letters of Credence of H. E. Mr. John Petter Opdahl, Ambassador-designate of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Cuba.

They agreed on the willingness to continue strengthening the relations between both countries.

A new group of Cuban professionals carry out Master's and Doctoral stays at the Norwegian University of Stavanger.

Oslo, August 29, 2024. The Department of Sociology of the University of Havana (UH) and the Department of Social Studies of the University of Stavanger (UiS) began in 2020 the international collaboration project "Well-being in Cuba and Norway. Strengthening professional training on social policies and well-being from an intercultural perspective". To date, several groups of postgraduate students have benefited from it.

Isabella, a girl born in Norway to a Cuban mother, already has her Cuban passport

Oslo, August 28, 2024. In April, we shared the news of the granting of the Cuban citizenship to Isabella, the beautiful daughter born in Norway of the Cuban resident in this city Maidelis Batista González.

Today we are pleased to share that Isabella, who turned 4 in July, now has her Cuban passport. The Second Secretary in charge of Consular Affairs, Daffne Ernesto Mirabal García, presented the important document to her mother yesterday.

Cuban Ambassador bids farewell to Norway's designated Ambassador to Cuba

Oslo, August 26, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, received John Petter Opdahl, Ambassador-designate of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Cuba.

The Cuban diplomat thanked H.E. Mr. Opdahl for his collaboration during the time he was in charge of the desk of Cuba in the Section for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She also wished him success in fulfilling his new duties and expressed her interest in working together for the development of the relations between the two countries.

Categorical rejection of unfounded allegations of election meddling in the USA

Statement by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Articles in the Miami Herald newspaper and others in the McClatchy press organization, to which this newspaper belongs, began a new slanderous campaign against Cuba at the end of July, citing anonymous intelligence sources to support the accusation, a common practice that this journalistic organization and its editors are accustomed to when lies are the basis of the report.

The accusation is that Cuba is making efforts to influence local electoral campaigns in the state of Florida in the United States.
