At the Norwegian University of Stavanger, Cuban professors offer an overview of social work in Cuba

Oslo, September 27, 2024. This Monday, September 23, at the University of Stavanger (UiS for its acronym in Norwegian),  a presentation entitled “Brief Overview of Social Work in Latin America and Cuba” took place, by a group of Cuban professors, as part of the academic exchange promoted by the collaboration project “Well-being in Cuba and Norway. Strengthening professional training on social policies and well-being from an intercultural perspective”, existing between the Department of Sociology of the University of Havana (UH) and the Department of Social Studies of the UiS.

New Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Cuba presents his Letter of Credence

Oslo, September 19, 2024. The Vice President of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, received the Letters of Credence of nine new ambassadors in a ceremony held on the morning of this Wednesday the 18th, at the Palace of the Revolution. Among them was His Excellency Mr. John Petter Opdahl, who is the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Cuba.

Cuban Ambassador meets with new Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Oslo, September 18, 2022. The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, held a cordial and fruitful meeting with the new director of the Section for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aslaug Nygård.

The Ambassador congratulated the Norwegian diplomat on her appointment for this new responsibility and expressed the desire to establish a positive working relationship.

Norwegian State Secretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry receives the Ambassador of Cuba

Oslo, September 11, 2014. The Ambassador of Cuba, Maité Rivero Torres, was received by Tomas Norvoll, State Secretary of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry.

In a cordial meeting, both expressed their willingness to work for the development of the relations between Cuba and Norway, based on the possibilities and potential existing in the two countries in the economic and commercial fields.
