Secretary General of SWAPO thanks Cuba's historic solidarity

The Secretary General of SWAPO, Sophia Shaningwa received the Island's ambassador to Namibia, Sergio Vigoa de la Uz, and thanked our country and the Communist Party of Cuba for their commitment to the development of Namibia.

The SWAPO leader recounted the friendship between both parties since the years of the fight for independence and the solid cooperation that has been forged in the fight to achieve more just societies in both towns.

Parliaments of Cuba and Namibia strengthen cooperative relations

The president of the National Council of Namibia, Mr. Luka Sinimbo Muha, thanked the Cuban ambassador Sergio Vigoa de la Uz for the invitation to participate in an international event organized by the “Raúl Roa García” Higher Institute of International Relations in the month of September.

At the meeting, the president commented on his interest in taking advantage of the occasion to carry out an exchange of experiences between the Cuban and Namibian parliaments, especially in the areas of municipalities and Popular Councils that directly represent citizens.

New opportunities for cooperation in Construction

Identifying new opportunities for cooperation between Cuba and Namibia was the purpose of the visit to this African nation of a delegation from the Cuban Ministry of Construction, headed by Vice Minister Amaury Medina Morante.

President of Namibia receives Cuban ambassador

The President of Namibia, H.E Dr Nangolo Mbumba, held a productive exchange at the State House with the Cuban ambassador Sergio Vigoa de la Uz.

In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, the ambassador thanked on behalf of the Cuban government and people for the permanent support of Namibia in international and regional forums for the cause of eliminating the United States blockade against Cuba and the request to exclude our country from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

They pay tribute to the Commander in Chief at the opening of the VII Congress of the SWAPO Party.

Namibia.- The Chairman of the SWAPO Party and President of Namibia, Dr. Hage G. Geingob, paid tribute to Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz in the opening speech of the 7th. Congress of the SWAPO Party, on commemorating the 6th Anniversary of the physical disappearance of Fidel.

President Geingob in memory of the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, who was a great friend of Namibia as recognized by him, established a minute of silence.
