On the night of July 7, the first group of medical students arrived in South Africa after finished their fifth year of studies in Cuba.
This group, which will be joined in the rest of the week by other students from Cuba,up to more than 700, will continue its sixth and last year of the career in South African health and university institutions.
Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Republic of South Africa, accompanied by the Cuban authorities, lays wreath at OR Tambo bust, African Forefathers Park, Havana, as part of a work visit to our country.
She participated in the commemorative act for the Centennial of the birth of the South African leader, Nelson Mandela.
On May 28, the Ambassador of Cuba, Rodolfo Benítez, accompanied by the delegation of the Ministry of Construction of Cuba that visits South Africa, presided by Rolando Macias, Director of International Relations of that institution, were received by the Minister of Human Settlements, Mrs. Nomaindia Mfeketo.
