Minister of Health of Lebanon receives Cuban Ambassador

Beirut April 15, 2019. The Minister of Health of Lebanon, Jamil Jabaq, received today the Ambassador of Cuba, Alexander Pellicer Moraga at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health of the Lebanese Republic.

The two officials analyzed the possibilities of establishing mechanisms of cooperation in the health sector and in the production of medicines. The possibility of exchanging experiences between professionals from both nations was also analyzed.

Lebanese consider as a duty the defense of Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela

Beirut, March 31 (Prensa Latina). The General Secretary of the Lebanese Communist Party, Hanna Gharib, said today that it is a duty to defend Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela in their confrontation with the United States.

Gharib issued that criterion during a meeting with the president of the international relations commission of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba (parliament), Yolanda Ferrer.

Parliaments of Cuba and Lebanon advocate strengthening of bilateral relations

Beirut, March 31, 2019. The president of the International Relations Committee of the Lebanese Parliament, Yassine Jaber, received his Cuban counterpart Yolanda Ferrer Gómez, who heads a parliamentary delegation that completes a work visit to Lebanon.

During the friendly meeting, were reviewed the historical relations of friendship between both countries and the coincidence of points of view on the main topics in the international arena.

Former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud receives the Cuban Ambassador

Beirut, March 28, 2019. Ambassador Alexander Pellicer and Counselor Raul Madrigal held a friendly meeting with former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud, with whom they exchanged about the historic friendship relations between Cuba and Lebanon.

Lahoud remembered with pleasure his visit to Cuba in 2006 and his meetings with Raúl Castro, Hugo Chavez and other world leaders in the framework of the Summit of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries.

Cuban Ambassador hold a work meeting with General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants

The Cuban ambassador Alexander Pellicer Moraga, had a useful meeting with Hani Chemaitelly, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon.

During the meeting they talked about bilateral subjects and about the situation in Middle East and Latin America. Chemaitelly ratified his country's support for Cuba in the fight against the US blockade.
