There is not any dialog Cuba-US, affirms vice minister Carlos Cossio

Vientiane, February 4, 2026. Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío told The Associated Press on Monday that "his government is not engaged in dialogue with the United States, but is open to it if certain criteria are met." "Cuba is a peaceful country," he said. "We simply wish to engage with the United States as we do with the rest of the world. The United States is the exception today."

Cuba represented at an event commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of trade unions in Laos

Vientiane, February 2nd, 2026. The Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant, participated in the main event commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Federation of Trade Unions of Laos, presided over by Comrade Kikeo Khaykhamphitoun, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary  Party (LPRP) and president of the Lao Front for National Development.
