President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez receives Laosian Minister of Foreign Affairs

Vientiane, October 3, 2025. We have the will to continue expanding our historic relations with Laos, assured President Miguel Diaz-Canel, while welcoming Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

The Head of State described the Lao Foreign Minister's official visit as “further evidence of the excellent state of our ties.”

His stay in Cuba marks a milestone in the mutual will of both parties to continue expanding and strengthening them.

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz receives the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos.

Vientiane, October 3, 2025. Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz received H.E. Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos. During the meeting, both parties reviewed the state of bilateral relations and agreed on their mutual willingness to continue expanding and strengthening the cooperation in  areas such as education, sports, health, biotechnology, and agriculture.
