Lao leader of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Party receives visit from Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister

Vientiane, July 25, 2025 - In the afternoon of July 25, 2025, at the headquarters of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the acting head, Comrade Bounleua Phandanouvong, received a courtesy visit from Comrade Gerardo Peñalver Portal, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba and his delegation, on the occasion of their visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) and other countries in the Asian region.

The Vice President of the Lao National Assembly receives the first Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister

Vientiane July 25, 2025. Com. Chaleun Yiapaoheu, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice President of the National Assembly, and President of the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association, received a courtesy visit from Mr. Gerardo Peñalver Portal, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, and his delegation, on the occasion of their visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic and other countries in the Asian region.

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs begins Working Visit to China, Vietnam, and Laos

Vientiane, July 20, 2025. The Cuban Foreign Ministry announces that the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Gerardo Peñalver Portal, begins today a working visit to China, Vietnam, and Laos, which will extend until July 25, with the purpose of holding rounds of Inter-Ministry Political Consultations with these sister nations.

La 41 FIHAV, a strategic meeting point for business in the region

From November 24 to 29, 2025, the Expocuba Fairgrounds will reopen its doors to welcome business leaders, official delegations, chambers of commerce, trade and investment promotion agencies, and guests from around the world to celebrate the 41st edition of FIHAV.

The 40th edition was attended by 61 countries, in addition to the European Union and the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), with 31 chamber delegations and 15 high-level official delegations. A total of 723 companies participated, of which 435 were foreign and 288 were domestic.

Cuban Ambassador visits Lao Party headquarters

Vientiane, June 7, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador held a friendly exchange during a courtesy visit to Mr. Semgphakhan Vanthanouvong, Director General of the Europe-America Department of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. The meeting reviewed the status of bilateral relations and reaffirmed the willingness to continue strengthening relations between the respective party organizations.
