The Cuban Embassy in Malaysia joins the national mourning in honor of compatriots who fell in the line of duty in Venezuela.

Kuala Lumpur, January 5, 2026. The Embassy of Cuba in Malaysia joins the National Mourning declared by the Revolutionary Government for the loss of our compatriots who fell defending their duty.

To the 32 Cubans that lost their lives in combat, while serving on missions representing the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the Ministry of the Interior, at the request of their counterparts in Venezuela, Eternal glory!

At the Extraordinary Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba stated:

We the Philippines-Cuba Cultural and Friendship Association (PhilCuba) condemn in the strongest possible terms the grave terroristic aggression by the government of the United States of America in its imperialist bombing campaign of Venezuelan civilian and military localities in the capitol Caracas, and the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira.

In the Philippines and Malaysia celebrate the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the centennial of Fidel Castro.

Kuala Lumpur, January 1, 2026 – Yadira Ledesma Hernández, Cuba’s ambassador to Malaysia and concurrently accredited to the Philippines, thanked Filipino friends for their historic solidarity with Cuba and for organizing a beautiful event commemorating the centennial of Fidel Castro and the legacy of the Cuban Revolution, which is now on its 67th anniversary.

These photos fill us with joy; they are part of the cargo of a modest donation that was collected from #Malaysia to send to #Cuba as solidarity aid.

Friends of Cuba in Malaysia, doctors from here who graduated in our country, Cuban residents, and the Cuban Embassy in these Asian lands joined forces to make it possible to send this modest aid to those affected by the Hurricane in Eastern Cuba.
