Cuban Ambassador Presents Letters of Credence to the King of Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, April 24, 2025 – In a solemn ceremony held at the Istana Negara National Palace, Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma Hernández presented His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, with the Letters of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Malaysia.

Cuban Ambassador to Malaysia held fruitful exchange with Undersecretary for International Cooperation and Development

Kuala Lumpur, April 23, 2025. Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma Hernández held a fruitful exchange at the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Undersecretary for International Cooperation and Development, Mr. Devrin Jeck.

This Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the rector of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP), which, together with the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs and numerous universities and institutions from the public and private sectors in Malaysia, promotes human resource training.

Malaysian Doctors Graduated in Cuba Express their gratitude for Cuban Medical Cooperation

Kuala Lumpur, April 22, 2025. Malaysian doctors who graduated in Cuba sent a letter to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) to express their gratitude and admiration for the humanitarian work of Cuban medical cooperation.

In the letter, they expressed their sincere appreciation, describing as "extraordinary the humanitarian work carried out by Cuban medical brigades around the world."

The Cuban Embassy in Malaysia paid tribute to the Honorable Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Kuala Lumpur, April 15, 2025. The Cuban Embassy paid heartfelt tribute to His Excellency Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at the National Mosque, along with the authorities and people of Malaysia.

As Prime Minister, Badawi visited Cuba twice: in 2004 and 2006, although he had previously visited the country in 1998 as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

From the Philippines it was expressed admiration for the work of Cuban medical cooperation around the world

Manila, April 3, 2025. The Philippine-Cuban Friendship Society expressed gratitude to the Cuban government for its unwavering commitment in the field of medicine, in a letter sent to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

The letter highlighted that the Cuban Medical Cooperation Program, whose objective is to provide healthcare to the neediest countries, based on the principles of solidarity and mutual support, has saved the lives of thousands of people.
