Fidel is honored in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka, November 27, 2021, The tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the V anniversary of his physical departure, was commemorated in Colombo with an activity where members of the Sri Lankan Graduate Association participated in Cuba.

The activity was chaired by the Ambassador of Cuba, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, who, when speaking, highlighted the internationalist principles and solidarity of the Commander-in-Chief.

Gunasekara, who expressed his solidarity with Cuba as well as his rejection of the blockade and the interventionist policy of the United States against Cuba.

Minister of Industries of Sri Lanka receives the Ambassador of Cuba

Sri Lanka, November 17, 2021, The Minister of Industries of Sri Lanka Hon. Wimal Weerawansha, received the Ambassador of Cuba Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, who paid him a courtesy visit.

In the cordial meeting, aspects of mutual interest related to bilateral relations and their development were addressed.

Minister Weerawansha is the leader of the National Freedom Front (JNP), a left-wing party that has condemned the United States' blockade against Cuba.

Sri Lanka, November 14, 2021, Sri Lanka Communist Party newspaper “Truth” publish message of Solidarity with Cuba and disseminates the entire message of the Working Group of Communist and Workers Parties that form the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP ), which demands an immediate end to the US blockade against Cuba and express its internationalist solidarity with the Communist Party of Cuba and the Cuban people.
