Cuba at the Human Rights Council: “We will prevail; we will not be broken. Those responsible for the siege will have to answer to history, and the Cuban people will not forgive them.”
Geneva, September 9, 2025. For the first time since its inception, the UN Human Rights Council examined today the impact of the economic blockade and the energy siege imposed on Cuba by the United States.
A large number of delegations participated in the debate following the presentation by the Special Rapporteur on unilateral coercive measures of her report on her visit to Cuba, where she gathered extensive evidence regarding the situation.
