The threat of direct aggression by the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran, encouraged by the genocidal government of Israel, became a reality following the cowardly bombings of the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities. We reiterate our full solidarity with the people and government of Iran.

Cuba condemns, in the strongest terms, these grave acts, which constitute a dangerous escalation of the conflict in the Middle East and a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and international law.

CUBA PRESENT AT EXHIBITION COMMEMORATING THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WOMEN IN DIPLOMACY.

The Palais des Nations hosted the inauguration of the photographic exhibition “Not a woman's job? Women Leading in Multilateralism and Diplomacy”, aimed at highlighting the remarkable results achieved by women in multilateralism and diplomacy. Cuban expert participates in the WHO Technical Advisory Group for Drug Regulatory Authorities.

Cuba's representative, Celeste Sánchez González, a specialist from the Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices (CECMED), is participating in the meeting of the World Health Organization (WHO) Technical Advisory Group for the certification of Regulatory Authorities on the WHO List (WLA).  This meeting will take place from June 23-25 at WHO headquarters.

CUBA ASSUMES RESPONSIBILITY AS COORDINATING COUNTRY OF THE GROUP OF 21 IN THE UN CONFERENCE ON DISARMAMENT

Geneva, June 23, 2025. Cuba assumed today the responsibility of Coordinating Country of the Group of 21 (G-21) in the Conference on Disarmament, which operates at this UN headquarters.

The G-21 is the largest of the four coordination groups that comprise the Conference on Disarmament. The G-21 is made up of 33 developing countries, out of the total of 65 Member States currently in the Conference.

Cuban Ambassador Meets with ILO Director-General

The two officials reviewed the international situation, the multilateral system, and the impact it has had on workers.

The ILO's expanded technical assistance was evaluated on issues such as updating the labor regulatory framework in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the exchange of technical and good practices on youth employment, the informal economy, and the digital transformation of work, among other topics.
