I greatly value your participation in this event of the South, to exchange views on challenges in matters of education of great importance for the developing world.
It is a high honor for Cuba, in our capacity as Chair of the G-77 + China in 2023, to have hosted this congress and provided a platform for exchange between our countries, more necessary today than ever.

Geneva. 23 January 2023. The Cuban people and government keep alive, fondly and respectfully, the memory of the apostolic visit of the Supreme Pontiff John Paul II to our country.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of such an important event, we reiterate our sincere gratitude to His Holiness Pope Francis for his expressions of sympathy and for the kind and respectful message addressed to our noble people.
