This decision conveys a dangerous message of impunity to those who intend to engage in violent acts against diplomatic missions in the city of Washington. These terrorist acts are the direct result of the policy and the aggressive discourse of the US government against Cuba; the permanent incitement to violence and the hatred of US politicians and anti-Cuban extremist groups.
Cuba described it as shameful that the United States government has prevented the realization of the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people. Ambassador Soberón Guzmán further explained that Palestine's admission to the UN is one of the first and essential steps that are urgently required to achieve a solution to the conflict, and called for reversing the historical injustice.
Ambassador Ernesto Soberón Guzmán addressed the general debate of the 46th meeting of the United Nations Information Committee. He refered that the informatization of Cuban society continues to be a priority and added that the Information and Communications Technologies sector is part of the strategic objectives within the Economic and Social Development Plan until 2030.
Cuba participates in the 57th period of sessions of the United Nations Commission on Population and Development, which begins today, at the headquarters of this multilateral organization. The Cuban delegation is headed by Juan Carlos Alfonso Fraga, vice head of the National Office of Statistics and Information and representatives of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations.
The book “The current international economic order: An obstacle to development. The main challenge for the Group of 77 and China” was presented this Friday by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, at the United Nations headquarters in this city.
