Mister President,

This year we commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the historic World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, but the goals established in the Durban Plan and Programme of Action are yet to be achieved.  We are no way near the materialization of the 2030 Agenda either.

Advisor to Liberia's Minister of Sports and Youth appreciates opportunity to condemn blockade of Cuba.

Monrovia, February 17, 2021 - Advisor to Liberia's Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Kesselee K. Kanneh, welcomed the opportunity to once again condemn the U.S. blockade of Cuba, this time in the sphere of sports.

Mr. Kanneh, a graduate with a degree in Physical Culture, demanded the lifting of the cruel and inhuman blockade against the largest of the Antilles during the virtual event "Sports in Cuba: Another Target of the US Blockade", which was held in coordination with the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

The Embassy of Cuba in Colombia received information -whose credibility could not be assessed- in relation to an alleged military attack by the Oriental War Front of the ELN that would take place in the course of the next few days in Bogotá.
