Thailand, June 13, 2017. The Minister of Science and Technology of Thailand, Dr. Atchaka Sibunruang, welcomed the Cuban Ambassador to Thailand, Héctor Conde Almeida, on a courtesy visit.

In the cordial meeting the good path of bilateral relations was confirmed, with special reference to the historical significance of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries to be held in May 2018.

Cuba participated today in the meeting summoned by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to the United Nations with the presence of Ambassador Elayne White Gómez, Permanent Representative of Costa Rica to the United Nations based in Geneva and Chair of the United Nations Conference to negotiate a legal binding instrument prohibiting nuclear weapons and conducting to its total elimination.
