Cuba and South Africa express interest in strengthening bilateral academic cooperation

Pretoria, November 5, 2025.- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to South Africa, Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo, was welcomed at the University of Pretoria by Professor Sunil Maharaj, Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Postgraduate Education, and Dr. Rakeshnie Ramoutar-Prieschl, Director of International Relations and Strategic Partnerships.

President of the House of Representatives Holds Farewell Audience with Cuban Ambassador

Nicosia, Cyprus – The President of the House of Representatives, H.E. Mrs. Annita Demetriou, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mr. Ángel Gustavo Suárez Cordero, on November 4th, in a farewell courtesy visit as he concludes his diplomatic mission on the island.

The ambassador received a warm welcome, and both reviewed matters of mutual interest on the bilateral and international agenda.

Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis and Ambassador of Cuba ratify ties of brotherhood between their nations.

As part of the farewell activities of the Cuban Ambassador, David Rivero Pérez, after four years of work in this Federation, meetings were held with the Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, in which the bonds of brotherhood between the two nations were ratified.

Ambassador Rivero and his family will soon return to the homeland, not only with the satisfaction of having fulfilled their duty, but with the affection, gratitude and recognition of an entire nation that from now on and forever, is also part of them.
