Cuba Solidarity Movement in Australia issues statement rejecting terrorist attack on Cuban Embassy in Washington, D.C.
Canberra, September 28, 2023. The different branches of the Australian Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) issued a joint statement rejecting the terrorist attack against the Cuban Embassy in Washington last September 24. The document also demands the elimination of Cuba's inclusion in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism and supports the humanist actions of the Cuban Revolution.

Ambassador of Cuba makes Official Visit to the State of Victoria and meets with the Premier's team
Melbourne September 21, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba made an official visit to the state of Victoria and met with the team of the Premier of that State.
During the meeting in which Nick Staikos, among other personalities, participated, topics of bilateral interest were addressed, particularly in the educational and biotechnological development fields.
The diplomat explained the development of Cuban biotechnology, as well as the achievements obtained in the production of its own vaccines during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ambassador of Cuba participates in celebration for the National Day of Guatamala
Canberra, September 21, 2023. The Ambassador of Cuba to the Commonwealth of Australia participated in the celebration of the National Day of Guatemala. During the event, she was able to exchange with the Ambassador of Guatemala to the southern country Ronald Vecinos, to whom he conveyed greetings from the Cuban authorities.
The celebration included an exhibition of works of Guatemalan aboriginal culture at the AIATSIS Aboriginal Culture Study Center, in the Australian Capital Territory.
Ambassador of Cuba meets with Governor of Victoria Her Excellency Honorable Professor Margaret Gardner
Melbourne, 20 September 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia paid an official visit to the State of Victoria. During the visit, she met with the Governor of the State, Her Excellency and Honourable Professor Margaret Gardner.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest, particularly in the academic and educational fields. The diplomat presented the results of the educational system in Cuba, as well as the potential for developing bilateral relations in various spheres of social and cultural life.
The Cuban film "Lucia" is screened at the Australian Latin American Film Festival
Canberra, September 18, 2023. The Cuban film "Lucia" by Humberto Solás, was screened in the hall of the Kambri Cultural Center, of the Australian National University.
The Cuban Ambassador to the southern country welcomed the friends of Cuba who participated in the event. He also outlined the significance of cinematographic work for Cuban and Latin American culture.
