Young Cubans touring Australia program continues in Adelaide
Adelaide, August 11, 2023. Young Cubans Marianniz Díaz and Iván Barreto undertook an intense program in the Australian city of Adelaide. During the last two days, they have been able to visit sites and institutions of social impact in Adelaide. Of special importance was the visit to the Romero community, a social project that serves disadvantaged people, people with disabilities, and the aboriginal population.
Latin American Film Festival opens in Canberra
Canberra, August 9, 2023. The 18th edition of the Latin American Film Festival in Australia was inaugurated this afternoon at the Kambri Theatre of the Australian National University (UNA). The event was attended by the Heads of Mission of all the countries of the region with Embassies in Australia, as well as students and members of the Latin American communities in the southern country.
Cuban youths exchange with Australian students in Sydney
Sydney, August 8, 2023. Young Cubans Ivan Ernesto Barreto and Marianniz Díaz, participated in an exchange with students and professors of the University of Sydney. During the meeting, they discussed various topics of the Cuban reality, in particular the impact of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than 60 years, as well as the efforts of the Revolution and the Cuban people to resist it.
The Ambassador of Cuba participates in a meeting with Associate Secretary of Foreign Affairs Tim Yeend
Canberra, August 8, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to this southern country participated in an exchange with Assistant Minister Tim Yeend at the headquarters of the Australian Foreign Ministry. The meeting was motivated by the exchange with the Ambassadors of Latin America and the Caribbean with the working team of the Foreign Ministry that will be in charge of the bilateral relations and cooperation with the region.
