First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba arrives to Nigeria.

Nigeria, May 27th, 2023. The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba and representative to the United Nations, Gerardo Peñalver Portal, arrived to Abuja this Saturday to participate in the presidential transition that will take place on May 29th.

Gerardo Peñalver Portal was received at the Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, by representatives of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in the country.

The Charge d'Affaires of Cuba held a cordial meeting with a Nigerian journalist.

Nigeria, May 19th, 2023 - Pavel Bauzá Fusté, Charge d'Affaires a. i. of the Cuban Embassy in Nigeria, received journalist Christian Appolos, from the newspaper Nigerian Tribune, at the Cuban Embassy.

During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat highlighted the wonderful historical relations between both peoples and the existing potential to continue deepening them.

Cuba present at the celebrations for International Workers' Day in Nigeria.

Nigeria, May 1st, 2023.- The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, was invited to participate, along with representatives of the accredited Diplomatic Corps, in the celebrations for International Workers' Day on May 1. Event organized by the Nigerian trade union movement - the Nigerian Labor Congress and the Trade Union Congress - in Abuja's Eagle Square.

Cuba participates in a ceremony organized by the United Nations in Nigeria to award the Sustainable Development Goals Award.

The Cuban Counselor Pavel Bauzá Fusté, as part of the accredited diplomatic corps in Abuja, participated in a ceremony organized by the United Nations representation in Abuja, to present the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) award to the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning of Nigeria, The Honorable Prince Clem Ikanade Agba.

Ambassador in Nigeria highlights achievements of the Cuban Revolution

Nigeria, April 27, 2023- Given the disinformation campaign that different media are organizing against Cuba, the Cuban ambassador in Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, gave a press conference before different Nigerian media to update on a group of issues of the Cuban reality and at the same time denounce the genocidal policy of the US administration towards the Cuban people.

Nigeria, March 16th, 2023.- The Cuban ambassador to this country, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, and the Director for the Americas and the Caribbean of the Nigerian Foreign Ministry, Jane Adams, held a dialogue this Thursday, in which they reviewed the status of the bilateral agenda.

The moment was propitious for both diplomats to address issues of common interest, regional and international news, and assess steps to follow to continue promoting the good relations between the two countries.
