Cuba present at parade for International Workers' Day in Cyprus.

Nicosia, Cyprus, May 1, 2026.- The Cuban ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, shared this Friday with the Cyprus Trade Union Confederation (PEO) the commemorative event for May 1st, International Workers' Day.

Accompanied by Sotiroulla Charalambous, General Secretary of PEO, Stefanos Stefanou, General Secretary of the Progressive Party of Working People of Cyprus (AKEL), and the Honorable Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Nicosia, Mr. Abdallah Attari, the Cuban diplomatic representation shared every moment of joy of this celebration of the world working class, alongside Cypriot workers.

A celebration to give thanks and also to share infinite solidarity with the Cuban people and government on the part of Pambis Kiritsis, General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Unions, the General Secretary of AKEL, and the labor leader Sotiroulla Charalambous, who in their interventions clearly and bravely condemned the policy of blockade and the criminal energy siege imposed by the United States against Cuba.

Supporters finish from Cyprus filling a container of humanitarian aid for Cuba

Nicosia, Cyprus, April 29, 2026.- With the closure this Wednesday, April 29, of a refrigerated container with humanitarian aid from the Cypriot people, the present solidarity campaign concluded, which has gathered important supplies and medical and food assistance for hospital institutions and for vulnerable segments of the population in the Cuban capital.

Integrated into the facilities of CIM Biomedical Co in Nicosia, the container is scheduled to depart on April 30 carrying a considerable volume of medicines, disposable materials, supplies and medical equipment, clothing, milk, and a wide range of food, which will be destined for the Pediatric Hospitals “William Soler” of Arroyo Naranjo and “Juan Manuel Márquez” of Marianao, as well as for the Sociocultural Project Cabildo Quisicuaba, of Havana.

The Cuban ambassador in Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, on behalf of the staff of the Antillean diplomatic mission in Nicosia and of his people and government, thanked that infinite and immeasurable gesture of support towards his country, the result of countless days of dedication and selflessness from the most unexpected places and sectors of the Mediterranean nation.

Cuban Embassy staff in Cyprus reaffirm their adherence to the 'My Signature for the Homeland' campaign

Staff of @embacubachipre joined the 'My Signature for the Homeland' campaign, an initiative that reaffirms support for the Revolution and the sovereignty of #Cuba against external threats and also confirms the commitment to peace and support for the free determination of the Cuban people to decide their own future.
The movement follows the call of President @DiazCanelB on April 16 during the 65th anniversary of the declaration of the socialist character of the Revolution.

Reaffirm solidarity with Cuba at the 5th edition of “Femme Fest Cyprus” organized by the Panchipriota Women's Movement (POGO) 

Nicosia, Cyprus, April 26, 2026.- The fifth edition of the Cypriot Women's Festival held this Sunday in the Acropolis park of Strovolos, in Nicosia, dedicated a unique space to reiterate support and solidarity with the Cuban people and its Revolution, amid various activities and gatherings that had as their central thematic focus the role of the contemporary Cypriot woman. 

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Cuba to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, who was able to personally thank Eleni Evagorou, Secretary General of the Panchipriota Women's Movement (POGO) and head of the Office for Gender Equality of the Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL), as well as the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association, a group with which he shared throughout the entire Sunday session. 

A space in which --from different proposals-- solidarity and support for the Cuban people and government were reiterated, in the face of the current energy blockade and the economic, commercial, and financial embargo that the U.S. government has maintained against the island for more than sixty years.

The Cyprus minister of health receives the Cuban ambassador accredited to the island.

Nicosia, Cyprus, April 24, 2026. The Minister of Health of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Neophytos Charalambides, received this Friday the Cuban ambassador accredited in this capital, Mr. Rubén Pino Martínez, who held a fraternal bilateral meeting.

The health minister of the Mediterranean island welcomed the Cuban diplomat accompanied by part of his team from the Directorate of International Relations, whose authorities expressed feelings of solidarity with the Caribbean island, in view of the difficult economic situation that Cuba and its people are experiencing, as a result of the energy blockade imposed since the end of last January and the embargo policy in place for more than sixty years.

During this first official meeting, which marks the beginning of a new chapter of bilateral work in the field of health, the Cuban diplomat expressed his deep gratitude for the warm welcome received since his arrival in Cyprus, in the context of an already historical solidarity from this island toward Cuba, the result of a relationship that extends over more than 65 years and constitutes a fundamental pillar in the ties between both nations.
