Cuban Ambassador Greets Deputy Minister of Tourism at Cypriot Christmas Event
Nicosia, Cyprus – During the opening ceremony of the Christmas villages on November 22nd in Kalopanayiotis, the Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus, Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero had the opportunity to greet and exchange views with the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis.
Delegation from Cyprus participates in the 19th European Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba in Paris
Nicosia, Cyprus. - From November 23 to 24, 2024, a Cypriot delegation will participate in the XIX European Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba at the iconic Espace Niemeyer Theatre, the French Communist Party's headquarters. The delegation comprises Vera Policarpou, Secretary of the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association and Head of International Relations of the AKEL Party, and Christos Tombazos, Organising Secretary of the Pan-Cypriot Federation of Labour - PEO.

Η Γενική Συνέλευση του ΟΗΕ θα συζητήσει και θα ψηφίσει, στις 29 και 20 Οκτωβρίου, την Έκθεση της Κούβας για «Την ανάγκη τα τεθεί τέρμα στον οικονομικό, εμπορικό και χρηματοπιστωτικό αποκλεισμό που επέβαλαν οι ΗΠΑ ενάντια στην Κούβα». Από το 1992 και για 31 φορές η διεθνής κοινότητα κατάγγειλε τον παράνομο αποκλεισμό που για πάνω από έξι δεκαετίες επιβάλουν οι ΗΠΑ, και απαίτησε τον τερματισμό του. Πρόκειται για εγκληματικό εργαλείο με στόχο τον στραγγαλισμό του κουβανικού λαού παρεμποδίζοντας κάθε κομμάτι της καθημερινότητας του. Απώτερος στόχος των ΗΠΑ, που άλλωστε δεν τον κρύβουν, είναι η ανατροπή της Κουβανικής Επανάστασης.

Nicosia, Cyprus - The Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus, Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, held on the morning of October 23rd, a fruitful meeting with the Secretary General of the Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus (AKEL), Stefanos Stefenou, in which various issues of bilateral and international interest were discussed.
