The leadership of the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association holds a fraternal and supportive meeting with the Cuban ambassador in Nicosia.

Nicosia, Cyprus. January 21, 2026. A delegation of the leadership of the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association recently held a fraternal and reflective meeting in this capital with the Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, during which they reaffirmed their solidarity and support for Cuba and its Revolution.
In these days of pain and shock on the island due to the fall in combat of the 32 sons of the homeland of José Martí during the Yankee invasion of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the president of the AAChC, Andreas Chrysanthou, shared the feelings of his fellow members of the Association and reiterated his ongoing support for the largest of the Antilles, a commitment they will explicitly and personally reaffirm in the coming days during a visit to the Cuban diplomatic mission in Nicosia. According to members of the board, this will be their clear and unmistakable way of reiterating their condemnation of the Yankee aggression against Venezuela and the vile and criminal kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife by U.S. elite forces.

Nicosia, Cyprus, January 13, 2026. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, held a fraternal meeting this Tuesday with Doctor Estela Niocolau, a member of the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association.

“It is always a pleasure to receive Cuban friends at home, and even more so when we feel – in difficult times – that fraternal embrace of solidarity and companionship towards the largest of the Antilles,” diplomat Pino Martínez told the Cuban friend upon welcoming her to the headquarters of the island mission in Nicosia.

“Know that we feel your presence, that your closeness and constant interest in the present and future of our homeland make Cuba feel stronger and responsibly accompanied, thanks to all your support and encouragement from this island in the eastern Mediterranean,” commented the Cuban ambassador.
 

Cuban ambassador in Cyprus participates in the year-end event of the United Democratic Youth Organization (EDON).

Nicosia, Cyprus, December 30, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, participated this tuesday in the event organized by the United Democratic Youth (EDON) of Cyprus to say goodbye to the year that is coming to an end.

With young people from various districts of Paphos, Limassol, Famagusta, Larnaca, and Nicosia, the Cuban diplomat was able to share a lively and fraternal year-end gathering with members of the organization's leadership, including Seviros Koulas and Foteini Charalampous, Secretary General and Head of International Relations of the organization, respectively, along with a strong representation of the future and undisputed successor of the Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL).

Cuban artist residing in Cyprus shares proposals and joint initiatives with the Cuban Embassy in Nicosia in honor of the homeland's culture.

The Cuban ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, welcomed this Monday various proposals and initiatives carried out by the Cuban choreographer and dancer residing in Larnaca, Yonly Leyva Desdunes, as part of a potential calendar of activities to be planned throughout the year and in different areas of this Eastern Mediterranean island, in honor of the values and richness of Cuban culture.

If the best way to say something is to do it, for this Cuban resident in Larnaca, Yonly Leyva Desdunes, 'the ring fits the finger.' Last November, he was able to represent the largest of the Antilles in various initiatives held at the Russian Cultural Center in Nicosia and later his performance 'Ori Ire' at the House of Dance in this capital, reaching the home of all Cubans with unique proposals, which says a lot about his words and actions.

Nicosia, Cyprus, December 1, 2025 - The Cuban ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, joined the collective tribute organized in this capital on the National Day of the Republic of Romania.

Invited by His Excellency Mr. Sorin-Dan Mihalache, Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Cyprus, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Nicosia greeted the authorities of the local foreign ministry and, especially, the representatives of the Romanian diplomatic mission on the eastern Mediterranean island, on their national commemoration.
