Nicosia, 9 May 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba in the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, attended event on the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Bicommunal Dialogue of Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot Political Parties facilitated by Slovak Diplomacy and the visit of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic H.E. Juraj Blanár and which took place at the Ledra Palace Hotel.
Ambassador of Cuba attends event for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the accession of the Republic of Cyprus to the European Union
Nicosia, 9 May 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba in the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, attended event for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the accession of the Republic of Cyprus to the European Union after the invitation on behalf of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides and which took place at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.
AKEL Secretary General Stefanos Stefanou visited the Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.
As part of an intense work agenda, the Secretary General of the Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL), Stefanos Stefanou visited the Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology on the morning of May 8th.
In this institution he was received by its Director, Dr.C. Marta Ayala and the General Secretary of the PCC of the CIGBCuba, MSc. Caridad Gasmuri, both members of the CCPCC.
Stefanous was able to see Cuba's progress and in particular the results of the Centre.
Vice-President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce receives the Secretary General of AKEL.
The Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba, Tania Aguiar Fernández received Mr. Stefanos Stefanou, Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL).
At the meeting, the bilateral issues and the bilateral work being carried out with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry were reviewed, based on the cooperation agreement between the two institutions.
In addition, possible actions to be taken to boost the development of trade between Cuba and Cyprus were analysed.
The Cuban Ambassador paid a courtesy visit to the new Minister of Defence.
The Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Angel Gustavo Suarez Cordero, held a courtesy meeting with the new Minister of Defence, Mr. Vasilis Palmas.
At the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the appointment of Mr. Palmas as the new Minister of Defence and exchanged on the current national and international challenges and the need to preserve international peace.
