The Embassy of Cuba in Ethiopia thanks its African brothers and the African Union Organization for supporting Cuba against the U.S. blockade

The Embassy of Cuba in Ethiopia welcomed at its headquarters the African diplomatic corps and office’s directors of the African Union, to thank Africa for its permanent support to Cuba in its fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States.
Ethiopia commemorates the 45th anniversary of the victory of Karramara
Addis Ababa, March 5, 2023. The Ethiopia-Cuba Friendship Park hosted the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the victory in the Ogaden War, known in Ethiopia as the Victory of Karramara, for the site of the decisive battle. The event was attended by members of the Cuban State Mission, Generals and veterans of that deed, relatives of the martyrs of this nation, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and city authorities, Ethiopians graduated in Cuba and Cuban residents.

Members of the Cuban Embassy in Ethiopia, together with the director of the Ethiopian-Cuban Friendship Association, Ato Abebe, paid a visit to the center that houses the Organization of Parents of Children with Childhood Cancer Tesfa Addis (TAPCCO) and made a modest donation of food and sweets for the kids.

The African Union adopts resolution rejecting the blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba

For the fourteenth consecutive time, the 36th Assembly of the African Union, composed of African Head of States and Governments, adopted a resolution on the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the Republic of Cuba by the United States of America.
