CUBA AND ETHIOPIA SIGNED THE NEW AGREEMENT ON HEALTH

 

(Addis Ababa, October 11, 2019). The Ministries of Health of Cuba and Ethiopia signed today in Addis Ababa a Cooperation Agreement for the Delivery of Medical Services, with the purpose of expanding the areas of cooperation and support between both countries in this important sector.

 

Foreign Minister of Ethiopia receives the Ambassador of Cuba

(Addis Ababa, October 4th, 2019) The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, H.E. Mr. Gedu Andargachew meets the Ambassador of Cuba in Ethiopia, H.E. Mrs. Vilma Thomas, at the Foreign Ministry today.

At the meeting, the Ambassador delivered a message from Cuban Foreign Minister, H. E. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and exchanged with the Minister about various issues of international interest and bilateral relations.

Cuba receives the annual award from the Society of Surgery of Ethiopia

 

(Addis Ababa. October 3rd,, 2019) The Ethiopian Surgery Society, in its 24th Annual Assembly that started today in Addis Ababa, granted Cuba the prize of the year, for its contribution to the development of the surgery service and the training of health professionals in Ethiopia.

PRESS CONFERENCE OF THE AMBASSADOR OF CUBA

Addis Ababa, September 18, 2019.  The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, H.E. Mrs. Vilma Thomas adressed local and Cuban journalists in a Press Conference at the Embassy.

The Cuban diplomat explained the transformations experienced by Cuba since the adoption of the new Constitution las April.

She insisted in the aggresive policy of the US towards Cuba in different ways but particularly the sabotage to the Cuban contracts to get oil which put the country in a very critical situation due to the oil shortages.

President Salva Kiir received the credentials of the Ambassador of Cuba

Juba, September 10, 2019.  The President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit received at the Presidential Palace, the Letters of Credence that accredited H.E. Mrs. Vilma Thomas as Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to South Sudan.

Both parties exchanged on the friendly relations existing between both countries even previous to the establishment of the new Republic of South Sudan in 2011.
