Cuba to produce vital injectable antibiotics

Havana, August 02, 2022 (Prensa Latina). Cuba will start up a cephalosporin plant to produce a series of injectable beta-lactam antibiotics that are widely used in intensive therapies.

Cuba and South Sudan reaffirm the good state of relations between the two countries

Addis Ababa, June 22, 2022. - The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, held a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of South Sudan, Deng Dau Deng Malek, during his visit to Addis Ababa. They exchanged on the world situation and the challenges facing the economies of both countries, which in the case of Cuba is further intensified by the strengthening of the US blockade of Cuba in the current circumstances.

Cuban ambassador visits Gerji Unity University

Addis Ababa, March 5, 2022.  The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, visited the Gerji Unity University of Sciences and held a pleasant meeting with its Board of Directors. During the visit, they exchanged cooperation issues of mutual interest to the Ethiopian university and Cuban health institutions.

Cuba and Ethiopia commemorate the 44th Anniversary of the Victory of Karramara, in the Ogaden War

Addis Ababa, March 05, 2022.  An emotional event was held in the Ethiopian-Cuba Friendship Park, to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the Victory of Karramara, which gave Ethiopia the triumph in the Ogaden War of 1978.  Present were members of the Cuban diplomatic mission, veterans of that battle, representatives of the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs, Ethiopian graduates in Cuba, members of the Cuban Medical Brigade in the country and Cuban residents. It also had a large popular attendance.
