Addis Ababa, July 9, 2021. South Sudan, the youngest nation in Africa, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its independence today. On that occasion, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez sent a message of congratulations to the President of the Republic of South Sudan, H. E. Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit, ratifying the will to continue developing the historic relations of friendship that unite both peoples.

The US Administration took on the virus as an ally in its merciless non-conventional war; it deliberately and opportunistically stepped up the economic, commercial and financial blockade, bringing about losses for the country in the amount of around 5 billion dollars.
