Cuban Ambassador meets with Ethiopian Minister of Health
Addis Ababa, August 11, 2022. The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, met with the Minister of Health of that country, Dr. Lia Tadesse, at the headquarters of the Ministry. The Cuban ambassador thanked the opportunity to exchange on issues of mutual interest in health and highlighted the broad ties of collaboration established by both countries during these years and the will of the Cuban government to maintain them.

Addis Ababa, August 04, 2022. The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, paid a courtesy visit to the Ambassador of Rwanda, Ms. Hope Tumukunde Gasatura. During the meeting, both diplomats exchanged on the economic and social reality of their respective countries. In his speech, the Cuban ambassador highlighted the immense efforts made by Cuba in its fight against the iron economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States. He added that the country despite its limited material resources was able to develop its own vaccines against the unknown Covid-19 disease.
Cuba and South Sudan reaffirm the good state of relations between the two countries
Addis Ababa, June 22, 2022. - The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, held a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of South Sudan, Deng Dau Deng Malek, during his visit to Addis Ababa. They exchanged on the world situation and the challenges facing the economies of both countries, which in the case of Cuba is further intensified by the strengthening of the US blockade of Cuba in the current circumstances.
Cuban ambassador visits Gerji Unity University
Addis Ababa, March 5, 2022. The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, visited the Gerji Unity University of Sciences and held a pleasant meeting with its Board of Directors. During the visit, they exchanged cooperation issues of mutual interest to the Ethiopian university and Cuban health institutions.
