Cuba and Ethiopia reaffirm the will to increase parliamentary ties

Addis Ababa, March 9, 2021. The Ambassador of Cuba, Vilma Thomas Ramírez, held a fruitful exchange today with members of the Committee on Foreign Relations and Peace Affairs of the House of People's Representatives (parliament) of Ethiopia, led by its President, the Honorable Dr. Negeri Lencho Bultum,

At the meeting, both parties highlighted the historical bilateral relations between Cuba and Ethiopia, and agreed on their interest in having this reflected in the expansion and strengthening of ties between the parliaments of both countries.

Cuban Foreign Minister appreciated the support of the African Union VS. the US blockade

The Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla sent a letter of appreciation to the Chairperson of teh Africa Union Commission, H.E. Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat for the support of the regional organization to Cuba in the fight against the blockade imposed by the government of the United States of America.

The 34 Assembly of the organization celebrated recently, approved a Resolution to call the US to put an end the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

Collaboration projects between Cuba and Ethiopia go forward

Addis Ababa, March 3, 2021. Executives of the Business Group of the Ministry of Education of Cuba (known as GE-MINED) and the CEO of the Educational Materials Production and Distribution Enterprise of Ethiopia (EMPDE), sustained a fruitful virtual meeting, where they assessed the potentialities of collaboration between both countries in the educational sector.
