Cubans in Ghana ratify their support to the homeland during the Father´s Day celebration
During the tribute to parents, a representation of the Cuban residents in Ghana, the Cuban Embassy staff and members of the Cuban Medical Brigade, condemned the speech delivered in Miami the day before by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, where he rolled back the process of normalization of relations with Cuba.
Statement by the Revolutionary Government of Cuba
On June 16, 2017, US President Donald Trump delivered a speech full of hostile anti-Cuban rhetoric reminiscent of the times of open confrontation with our country in a Miami theater. He announced his government’s Cuba policy, which rolls back the progress achieved over the last two years since December 17, 2014, when Presidents Raúl Castro and Barack Obama announced the decision to re-establish diplomatic relations and engage in a process towards the normalization of bilateral relations.
Cuban Ambassador holds meeting with the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations of Ghana
The Ambassador of Cuba, Mr. Pedro Luis Despaigne González, was received by the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations of Ghana, Mr. Ignatius Awuah Baffour, with whom he discussed issues of bilateral interest.
The Cuban diplomat told the Minister the number of Ghanaian workers serving different functions in the Cuban Embassy on the basis of contracts which respect of the country´s Labor Law, as well as compliance with 100% of the Social Security payments established by the Ghanaian law.
