President of the Guyana-Cuba Solidarity Movement (GCSM) Halim Khan condemns the terrorist attack at the Cuban Embassy to Washington

Georgetown, May 13, 2020. The President of the Cuban Solidarity Movement with Guyana (GCSM) Halim Khan condemns the terrorist attack at the Cuban Embassy in Washington, damaging the building but without causing injury. The suspect was identified as 42-year-old Alexander Alazo of Aubrey, Texas.

While the suspect was arrested by Washington police, the investigation also includes the Secret Service, which is involved in assuring the security of foreign diplomats and embassies.

Guyana, May 13, 2020. During the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) of the CARIBBEAN Community (CARICOM), it was paid tribute to the government and people of Cuba for the support of health personnel to increase the region's limited capacity to cope with the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic despite Cuba's own challenges aggravated by the intensification of US government sanctions against the island.
