A Cuban Medical Brigade arrives in the Turks and Caicos Islands
Kingston, Jamaica, 15 June 2020. At 12:15 p.m. (local time) on Monday, the thirty-fifth brigade of the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics arrived at the Providenciales International Airport, in the Turks and Caicos Islands, sent abroad by Cuba to cooperate in the fight against Covid-19.

Social isolation imposed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic did not prevent Cubans in Jamaica from celebrating yesterday, June 14, the 175th and 92nd anniversaries of the births of Antonio Maceo Grajales and Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, respectively. Directors and members of the Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica (ACRJ) recorded an emotional 3-minute video, paying tribute to these two leading figures in the history of Cuba and the Americas.

This June 14, all staff members of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Jamaica commemorated the 175th and 92nd anniversaries of the births of two great figures in the history of Cuba: Lieutenant General of the Liberation Army, Major General Antonio Maceo Grajales, and the Heroic Guerrilla, Commander Ernesto Guevara de la Serna.
