The Day of Cuban Culture celebrated in Jamaica
Kingston, Jamaica, 20 October 2019. With the projection of the Cuban film Inocencia, Cubans residing in Jamaica, members of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission and other guests celebrated the Day of Cuban Culture.
The occasion was equally conducive to pay tribute to the legendary ballet dancer and choreographer Alicia Alonso, who passed away on October 17 in the Cuban capital.

The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, H.E Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, and other officials of that diplomatic mission, held a fraternal meeting with the members of the board of the People's National Party of Jamaica's Youth Organization (PNPWY), namely Krystal Tomlinson, President; Danishka Williams, Vice president, and Jordan McNeil, Secretary of International Relations.
Cuban Ambassador receives members of the Young Jamaica youth organization
Kingston, Jamaica, 17 October, 2019. The Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, H.E Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, today received a group of national leaders from Young Jamaica, the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP)’s youth organization, at the Embassy’s headquarters.
Young Jamaica's delegation was made up of Howard Chamberlain (President), Ricardo Foster (Vice President), Rohan Walsh (Secretary General), Rajive Hayden (Under- Secretary General) and Kaydian West (a member of the Board of Directors, responsible for gender issues.)
Cuban commercial delegation exchanges with Jamaican Minister of State
Kingston, Jamaica, 10 October 2019. Members of the Board of Directors of the Cuban company Cubahidraulica visited Jamaica from October 7 to 8, an occasion that was conducive to the exchange with Senator the Honorable Pearnel Charles Jr., Minister of State at the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation; as well as with senior officials from that Ministry, the National Water Commission, the Port Authority of Jamaica and the Chamber of Commerce of the island.
