Cuban Ambassador receives members of the Young Jamaica youth organization
Kingston, Jamaica, 17 October, 2019. The Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, H.E Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, today received a group of national leaders from Young Jamaica, the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP)’s youth organization, at the Embassy’s headquarters.
Young Jamaica's delegation was made up of Howard Chamberlain (President), Ricardo Foster (Vice President), Rohan Walsh (Secretary General), Rajive Hayden (Under- Secretary General) and Kaydian West (a member of the Board of Directors, responsible for gender issues.)

Members of the Board of Directors of the Cuban company Cubahidraulica visited Jamaica from October 7 to 8, an occasion that was conducive to the exchange with Senator the Honorable Pearnel Charles Jr., Minister of State at the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation; as well as with senior officials from that Ministry, the National Water Commission, the Port Authority of Jamaica and the Chamber of Commerce of the island.

The commercial, economic and financial blockade of the Government of the United States against the Republic of Cuba began on October 19, 1960, less than two years after the triumph of the Revolution. On February 7, 1962 it was extended to include virtually all commercial relations.
This is the most complete, systematic and long-standing blockade against any country in the history of mankind.
