Cuban residents in Jamaica celebrate National Day of Culture
Kingston, Jamaica, October 24th, 2017. Summoned by the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, more than fifty Cubans residing in Jamaica, members of the solidarity movement and Cuban collaborators in this Caribbean nation, attended the diplomatic mission to celebrate the National Day of Culture, acknowledged as a date that definitely marks the birth of our nation and identity.
Jamaicans in solidarity with Cuba condemn United States Blockade
Kingston, Jamaica, October 18th, 2017. The Association of Friendship Jamaica-Cuba, through its president, Dr. Lorenzo Gordon, issued a statement demanding the unconditional end of blockade against Cuba, who’s archaic retention constitutes an arrogant rejection to the International Law, a systematic violation of the Human Rights of the Cuban people and an act of genocide under the United Nations Convention for the Prevention and Punishment of Crime of Genocide of 1948.
Cubans Resident in Jamaica condemn Blockade against their Homeland
Kingston, Jamaica, October 14th, 2017. Members of the Association of Cubans Resident in Jamaica Antonio Maceo y Grajales issued a statement to condemn the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government against Cuba for almost 60 years, which continues provoking damages to the Cuban people and hindering the economic development of the country, despite the claims to end it expressed by the overwhelming majority of the international community during 25 years.
Prime Minister of Jamaica meets with Cuban Ambassador
KINGSTON, Jamaica, September 27th, 2017. Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, welcomed this morning, the Cuban Ambassador, Bernardo Guanche Hernandez, who´s ending his tour of duty in this Caribbean nation.
During the friendly meeting, carried out in the Office of the Prime Minister, both parts expressed the satisfaction for the excellent level of the bilateral relations and the cooperation in different areas.
