Peace Council of Jamaica issues statement on the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons
KINGSTON, JAMAICA, September 26th, 2017.The Peace Council of Jamaica made a public statement urging all the governments from Latin America and the Caribbean to act in correspondence with the Declaration of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to preserve the region as Zone of Peace, through the signature and ratification of the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, launched by United Nations last September 20th, 2017.

Cuba and St. Mary, Jamaica call to strengthen bilateral ties
ST. MARY, JAMAICA, June 9th, 2017.- Senior officials of St. Mary Parish appealled to strengthen the bilateral ties with Cuba and to increase the commercial, academic exchanges.
During a two-day visit carried out to St. Mary, a representation from the Embassy of Cuba, led by Dr. Jorge Sanches Fuentes, in charge of cultural, academic and commercial affairs, and members of the Cuban entrepeneurial group GESIME, held fruitful exchanges with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry of this region.
