Lebanon shows interest in Cuba's anti-Covid-19 vaccines

Beirut, April 15, 2021. Lebanon's interim Minister of Health, Hamad Hassan, today showed interest in clinical trials of Cuba's anti-Covid-19 vaccines during a meeting with the Cuban ambassador, Alexander Pellicer.

Hassan pointed out that Lebanon is accredited by the World Health Organization for this type of experiments which would improve the country's access to more antidotes, after guaranteeing efficacy and safety.

At the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in this capital, Ambassador Alexander Pellicer Moraga held a friendly meeting with Kaisar Obeid, head of International Relations of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party. During the meeting, they exchanged views on the situation in Cuba, Lebanon, the region and the aggressive policy of the United States against countries that do not submit to its designs, in clear violation of international legality and the sovereignty of states.

Cubans in Lebanon join worldwide campaign for the lifting of the blockade against Cuba

Beirut, March 26, 2021. The community of Cubans living in Lebanon is joining the worldwide campaign for the lifting of the blockade imposed by the United States against the island for almost 60 years.

Given the impossibility of organizing a caravan or march to demand the cessation of the hostile policy against the island, due to the complex political situation Lebanon is going through, the Cuban residents have decided to make a video with speeches and photos denouncing the damage caused by the blockade to the Cuban people and demanding its immediate elimination.

Ambassador to Lebanon gives interview to Mariam TV channel to discuss Cuban vaccines

Beirut, March 23, 2021. Cuban Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, granted an interview to Mariam TV channel to talk about the development of Cuban vaccine candidates, particularly Soberana 02 and Abdala, which are currently in Phase III clinical trials.

The Cuban diplomat highlighted the safety and positive results shown so far by the two most advanced vaccine candidates, and assured that Cuba would be ready to immunize its entire population before the end of the year.
