Lebanese People's Democratic Party expresses solidarity with Cuba and congratulates the election of Miguel Diaz-Canel as First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba

Beirut, May 17, 2021. The Secretary General of the Political Bureau of the People's Democratic Party of Lebanon (PDPL), Mohamed Hachicho, hailed the successful holding of the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, especially in light of the international struggle to establish a new multipolar world order, after the collapse of the U.S. system of unipolar hegemony.

"We have full confidence in his attachment to the revolution, its values and his commitment to his people, for the continuity and advancement of the process of building Cuban humanist socialism," the message said.

Palestinians in Lebanon condemn US blockade against Cuba

Beirut, April 22, 2021. The League of Palestinian graduates in Cuba today condemned the US blockade against the Caribbean nation in a message accessed by Prensa Latina in this capital.

'We are aware and witnesses of the sufferings due to the economic, commercial and financial siege imposed by Washington on Cubans since 1962', the missive reads.

Cuba is recognized for its moral and human stature, it adds, defined by its selfless solidarity that overrides a recent decision by the White House to include it on the list of sponsors of terrorism, the letter denounces.

President of Al Mayadeen channel congratulates Cuban president

Beirut, April 21, 2021. The chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mayadeen News Network, Ghassan ben Jeddou, congratulated today the president of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, on his recent election as head of the Communist Party of the Caribbean country.

In the opinion of ben Jeddou, this is a historic moment for the progressive and free states and forces of the world.

Lebanese Foreign Minister reaffirms support for Cuba in its struggle against the blockade

Beirut, April 20, 2021. Lebanese Foreign Minister Charbel Wehbe received at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the Ambassador of Cuba, Alexander Pellicer Moraga, with whom he exchanged on issues of bilateral interest.

During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat handed over a letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, to his Lebanese counterpart, highlighting the damage caused to Cuba by the illegal blockade imposed by the U.S. for almost 60 years and its intensification in the midst of the pandemic caused by Covid-19.
