Iran condemns US pressure on Cuba, arrest warrant for Raul Castro
Tehran, October 21, 2026. Iran’s Foreign Ministry has condemned US interventionist actions against Cuba, including sanctions and efforts to intimidate Cuban officials, describing an arrest warrant for former Cuban President Raul Castro as illegal and criminal.
In a statement issued Tuesday evening, the ministry strongly denounced the warrant and Washington’s policies toward Havana.

Just a few meters from where we stand, the United States Mission is holding a sham event against Cuba, in full contravention of the rules that govern the use of UN premises.
It is a clandestine gathering absolutely alien to the UN agenda. Unfortunately, the UN Secretariat has not prevented this from happening, despite our repeated warnings.

Tehran, August 19, 2026 – The Cuban Embassy in Tehran commemorated the centennial of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz at the ECO Cultural Institute, with the presence of officials from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the Latin American diplomatic corps, friends, members of Iranian friendship associations with Cuba, Cuban residents and students from the University of Tehran, as well as journalists and members of the Cuban diplomatic mission.

We are forced to exercise the right of reply in the face of the unfounded and unacceptable accusations made by the delegation of Israel against my country.
Simply based on a matter of decency, we will avoid referring to other speeches drafted in Washington, similar to that of Israel and to the one that two other delegations have read in this hall.
