VIETNAM DAYS HELD IN GREECE
It was an honor to accompany Her Excellency Pam Thi Thu Huong, Ambassador of Vietnam to Greece, the members of her Embassy, and residents here from that sister nation, in the celebration of Vietnam Days in Greece.
A SOLIDARITY EVENT WITH CUBA WAS HELD IN ATHENS, PAYING TRIBUTE TO GENERAL RAUL CASTRO RUZ
Organized jointly by the Cuban Embassy and New Star Art Cinema studios, and attended by a large audience, an event was held in solidarity with the struggle of the Cuban people, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, which was commemorated on June 3rd. The event, entitled "Raúl Castro Ruz, Symbol of an Eternal Revolution," included the screening of videos with some of the most important and emblematic moments in the historical trajectory of this beloved and respected leader of the Cuban Revolution.
EXHIBITION OPENED IN ZATOUNA, ARCADIA REGION, COMMEMORATING THE CENTENARY OF COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF FIDEL CASTRO
As part of the 5th Mikis Theodorakis International Festival, held between June 19 and 21, a photographic exhibition was inaugurated in homage to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, commemorating the centenary of his birth. The exhibition, which includes important aspects of the life and revolutionary work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, was organized in collaboration with the Fidel Castro Ruz Center in Havana and with the support of Studio New Star Art Cinema.
Meeting of the Heads of Mission of the GRULAC Greece
Under the hospitality of the Ambassador of Peru to Greece, H.E. Mr. Arturo Javier Arciniega Calderón, the regular monthly meeting of the heads of mission of the Latin American Group in Athens took place.
The occasion provided an opportunity to bid farewell, in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, to H.E. Mr. Paulo Roberto Caminha de Castilhos França, the Ambassador of Brazil to the Hellenic Republic, who, after almost three years of dedicated service, concluded his mission in Greece and departed for his country.
A MASSIVE EVENT OF SOLIDARITY WITH CUBA AND TRIBUTE TO COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF FIDEL CASTRO RUZ WAS HELD IN ATHENS ON THE CENTENARY OF HIS BIRTH
Organized by the Attica Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), a large demonstration of solidarity with the Cuban people and their Revolution took place. The event, which drew a massive crowd, notably including workers and young people waving red and Cuban flags and chanting energetic slogans of solidarity, was held in the Town Hall Square of Perisiteri, the most populous municipality in the Greek capital.
