Jose Marti celebrated in Vancouver

Vancouver, January 28th, 2020.- The Canadian Cuban Friendship Association (Vancouver) commemorated the birth of Cuban National Hero at this annual event held this year on January 26. 

Those in attendance heard a short biography of the life of Jose Marti and then a report about Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity, for Democracy and against Neoliberalism that took place in Havana from November 1-3. A report on the Calixto Garcia Brigade held in the east of Cuba in December 2019 was also presented.

Tribute to Martí in Guyana

The Embassy of Cuba in Guyana held an emotional ceremony in honor of José Martí in the afternoon, attended by health collaborators, Cuban residents, diplomatic mission officials and Guyanese students :Sabrina Hernández , Nicol Gomes and Abigail Davis from Richard Ishmael School.

Teachers and students of the Azerbaijan State University honored on January 28 the 167th anniversary of the birth of the Cuban National Hero, José Martí, in a conference offered by the Cuban ambassador to this Caucasian nation, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo.

The Cuban diplomat said that Martí is more present than ever in Cuba and in many nations there are multiple tributes to whom he put his pen and his soul in favor of the total independence of his country.
