Havana, January 21, 2020. Cuba's National Hotel won the World Travel Awards as Cuba's Leader for the 16th consecutive time, officials said today.

The award was presented in the Bahamas during the 27th World Travel Awards ceremony, considered the Oscars of the hotel industry.

The note indicates that the National Hotel is the only United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Memory of the World hotel in Cuba.

Havana, January 21, 2020. President Miguel Diaz-Canel stressed today on Twitter that the cooperation between Cuba and Venezuela has a 'profoundly humanist' character.

Diaz-Canel shared an article published on the Cubadebate website that summarizes the intervention of his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolas Maduro, at the 20th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Comprehensive Cuba-Venezuela Cooperation Agreement.

Jakarta, January 16th- The Ambassador of Cuba in Indonesia, Tania Velázquez López, was received in courtesy call, by the Director of Bilateral Negotiations on the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia, Ms. Ni Made Ayu Marthini, occasion in which they outlined joint actions for the promotion of trade and the investment between both countries.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, reaffirmed on Monday his country’s solidarity with Venezuela in the face of the United States’ claims to strengthen the economic blockade against that nation.

Such statements take place after a press conference held in Colombia by U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, in which he called for more action against Caracas.

Havana, January 20, 2020.  Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced today the fierce tightening of the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed by the US, as part of its policy against Cuba.

This tightening causes humanitarian and economic damage, and affects the Cuban people, Cubans residing in the US and other countries, and Americans themselves, Rodriguez tweeted.
