Chaired by His Excellencies Phan Kham Viphavanh, Vice President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), Sonexay Sipandone, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Planning and Investment, both members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao Revolutionary Popular Party (CC PPRL), Saleumxay Kommasith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and member of CC PPRL and Pablo Antonio Rodríguez Vidal, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Lao PDR, was held this day, the central event for the 45th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.

World Travel Awards to the Cuban National Hotel

Havana, January 21, 2020. Cuba's National Hotel won the World Travel Awards as Cuba's Leader for the 16th consecutive time, officials said today.

The award was presented in the Bahamas during the 27th World Travel Awards ceremony, considered the Oscars of the hotel industry.

The note indicates that the National Hotel is the only United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Memory of the World hotel in Cuba.

Havana, January 20, 2020.  Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced today the fierce tightening of the economic, financial, and commercial blockade imposed by the US, as part of its policy against Cuba.

This tightening causes humanitarian and economic damage, and affects the Cuban people, Cubans residing in the US and other countries, and Americans themselves, Rodriguez tweeted.
