Athens, November 8. Greece was present with a stand of the company SEA JETS in FIHAV 2019, Multisectoral Trade and Investment Fair, most important in Cuba and one of the most representative of Latin America and the Caribbean that was held from 4 to 8 November 2019 , at the EXPOCUBA exhibition grounds. It is the third year in a row that Greece has participated in this important event.

Mr. President;

Your Excellency, ladies and gentlemen, permanent representatives;

The press agency of Azerbaijan, AZERTAC, highlighted today the victory of Cuba in the United Nations where the resolution was passed: Need to end the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba, with 187 votes favor; 3 against and 2 abstentions.
  

United Nations, Nov 7 (Prensa Latina) With the support of 187 of its member states, the UN General Assembly adopted on Thursday a new resolution calling for an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.

There were two abstentions: Colombia and Ukraine; and only Israel and Brazil voted alongside the US against the lifting of the blockade, becoming isolated amid the demand of the majority of the international community.

Havana, Nov 7 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel highlighted on Thursday the majority support of the international community for an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against the island for almost six decades.

'The blockade is real and we will defeat it with the support of the international community that today overwhelmingly voted for Cuba against the blockade. Servile governments show where their affinities lie. And they are alone along with the empire,' Diaz-Canel wrote on his Twitter account.

Roseau, November 7, 2019. Health cuban collaborators in Dominica received with joy and applause the images of the vote in the United Nations General Assembly, of the Resolution presented by Cuba “Need to end the economic, commercial blockade and financial imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.”

By a large majority of 187 votes in favor, 3 against and 2 abstentions, the international community approved today, November 7, 2019, the resolution presented by Cuba at the General Assembly of the United Nations “Need to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba”.

Vienna, 6 November 2019. The Square of the United Nations, in front of the headquarters of this International Organization in Vienna, was the scenario of an extensive popular gathering, which demanded the end of the blockade that the United States has been imposing for almost 60 years against Cuba.
