The Cuban Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago welcomes Cuba's victory at the UN

Port of Spain, November 7, 2019. The members of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Trinidad and Tobago welcomed Cuba's victory at the UN against the US blockade.

Gathered from early hours, they listened carefully to the speech delivered by the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla on the occasion of the presentation of the Cuban Resolution Project to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

Helsinki, November 7 2019. The international community again overwhelmingly rejected the Blockade imposed by the US against Cuba for almost 60 years:

By 187 votes in favor, 3 against and 2 abstentions, the General Assembly of the United Nations (UNGA) approved on November 7 the resolution “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba”. The resolution demands the immediate elimination of that illegal, extraterritorial and unfair policy.

Visit to the Gamal Abdel Nasser Museum

The Ambassador of Cuba in Egypt Tania Aguiar Fernández and the officials of the Embassy of Cuba paid a visit to the House-Museum of the former Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser. The diplomats had the honor of taking the tour guided by Nasser's youngest son, Abdel Hakim.

The museum is located in the area of Manshiyet Al-Bakri, east of Cairo, where Gamal leader Abdel Nasser and his family used to lived.

The museum consists of two rooms. The main one is for the president's offices, the attached rooms, the master bedroom, the living room and two rooms on the ground floor.

187 votes in favor of Cuba leave the United States looking bad before the world

Today, November 7, the United Nations approved a resolution entitled, “The necessity of ending the economic, commercial, and financial embargo imposed by the United States on Cuba, with 187 votes in favor, 3 against, and 2 abstentions. 

Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parilla addressed the General Assembly, and refuted statements made by the United States representative, stating that the U.S. distorts the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and has no authority to criticize Cuba, or anyone else.

Large majority in the UN condemns the blockade of the US government against Cuba

By a large majority of 187 votes in favor, 3 against and 2 abstentions, the international community approved today, November 7, 2019, the resolution presented by Cuba at the General Assembly of the United Nations “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba”.
