Namibia, July 3rd, 2019- The SWAPO Party Youth League (SPYL) and the Friendship Associations with Cuba and Venezuela organized a march of solidarity with these countries along Independence Avenue, one of the main arteries from Windhoek, capital of Namibia.
Canberra, July 2, 2019.- For the second time in a row, members of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) met in front of the United States Consulate General in the city of Perth, to demand the end of the policy of blockade against Cuba, recently intensified with new unilateral measures by the Donald Trump´s administration .

On a visit to Cincinnati, Ohio, from June 27th to 29th, the Third Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Washington DC, Sulia Paez Chacón attended the Annual Convention of the National Association of Newspaper Publishers (NNPA), where she exchanged with members of the leadership of this organization and she learned about the work that its publishers do. Within the framework of this event, the official attended presentations made by communicators, corporations linked to the NNPA as well as local and federal politicians. The Honourable Mary Isaac, Minister of Health and Wellness of Saint Lucia and Alejandro Simancas Marín, Ambassador of Cuba to this country, formally awarded scholarships to the new students entering the upcoming Academic years studying different specialties in Cuba. In an emotional activity at the Embassy of Cuba, the group of young people selected, accompanied by their families signed the Grant Form through which they were formally granted the scholarship and, also, the Code of Ethics for Foreign Students in Cuba.
The Humanistic Solidarity Association Saint Lucia-Cuba is deeply concerned with the further strengthening of sanctions by the United States embargo against the government and people of Cuba.

Presiding over the meeting were ACRSA Chairwoman Cristina Flores Fourie, the Ambassador of Cuba Rodolfo Benítez Verson; and the Secretary of Consular Affairs Liliam Tápanes Bellas.
