Miami Commission Seeks to Strike Cultural Exchange with Cuba

Washington, June 13, 2019.The Miami City Commission, has passed on Thursday a resolution to ask the US Congress to veto the Cuban artist recruitments, action against the cultural exchange with Cuba.

According to the document, the federal legislature is urged to enact a law that allows other US states and local governments to ban recruitment of Cuban singers and artists.

The resolution, sponsored by Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Commissioner Manolo Reyes, also calls on all federal, state and local officials to support the controversial text.

US Coalition Demands the End of Sanctions against Cuba.

Washington, June 13, 2019. In Washington, Metro DC Coalition in Solidarity with Cuban Revolution demanded on Thursday the end of all US sanctions against Cuba, including the new travel restrictions imposed last week.

Through a statement, the solidarity group regretted Donald Trump´s decision to prevent people to people group educational trips and to ban aircrafts and boats to go to Cuba, including cruises.

Kuala Lumpur, June 13 - The exhibition of contemporary painting "From Dreams to Reality" was officially inaugurated today at the National Gallery of Malaysia, within the framework of the activities carried out by the mission to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution .

On behalf of the National Gallery, Mr. Ameruddin, Vice General Director, welcomed those present and thanked the embassy for having chosen the place for this exhibition, which he said will contribute to broaden the knowledge of Cuba in Malaysia through culture.

Cuba won’t betray principles in exchange for US promises – govt

Havana also charges that President Donald Trump’s national security advisor John Bolton has managed to take possession of US foreign policy in the Western Hemisphere, which “constitutes the main threat to peace and stability in the entire region.”

In a declaration dated June 5, 2019, the Revolutionary government stressed that Cuba’s solidarity with Venezuela’s constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros, the Bolivarian Chavista Revolution, and the civic-military union of its people is not negotiable.

Cuban specialists culminate course on agriculture in Egypt

(PL) With the presence of the Minister of Agriculture of Egypt, Abdel Moneim El-Banna, Cuban professionals of the sector received today in this capital his title of graduates of the Egyptian International Center for Agriculture (EICA).
Specialists Yaquelin Castillo and Wilber Pupo received their graduation diplomas in the fields of Technology for Pest Management and Project Analysis, respectively; in a course that for 10 weeks welcomed more than 50 professionals from some 27 countries.
