New York, 7 November 2016. “We support renewed and steady efforts aimed at speeding up the negotiations on the Security Council Reform, an item included in the General Assembly Agenda during more than 20 years”, reiterated the Cuban Ambassador Humberto Rivero Rosario, at the General Debate on the “Question of equitable representation on and increase in the membership of the Security Council and other matters related to the Security Council”.

Cuban Ambassador welcomes Ashanti traditional leader visit

Nana Odikwour Baah Kokroko III, Shediem's traditional leader, paid a courtesy visit to the Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González.

During the meeting, the traditional leader and the Ambassador exchanged on the historical relations between the peoples of Cuba and Ghana, and on the date back to the pre-colonial period in Ghana and colonial times in Cuba. The Traditional Chief explained some elements of the history of the Ashanti Kingdom and over the role of the traditional Chieftaincy within the Ghanaian political system.

Farsi edition of the book "Who Killed Che?" was launched in Tehran

The book "Who Killed Che?" from the authors Michael Ratner and Michael Steven Smith, published in 2011 in United States, saw the light in its Farsi edition, at Rasaneh Cultural Center in Tehran. This valuable work is the result of the efforts of Cuba’s friends, Mohammad Ghorbani and Ali Aboutalebí, who translated and edited the book.

This book makes available to Iranian readers a substantial analysis and declassified documents on the operation of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to assassinate Che Guevara in 1967 in Bolivia and get away with this heinous crime.

THE BAHAMAS, 4th November, 2016. – As part of the Caribbean History course, the Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, lectured Bahamian students and teachers at Omega College about the History of Cuba.

At the meeting, the diplomat also provided information on current national developments and the measures implemented in Cuba in the context of the process of updating the economic model.
