Ambassador of Cuba in Kuwait signs book of condolences for death of the Parliament President of Nicaragua

Kuwait, September 19, 2016. Andres Gonzalez Garrido, ambassador of Cuba in Kuwait signed the book of condolences on the death of comrade Rene Nunez Tellez, president of the National Assembly of Nicaragua at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission of the country in Kuwait. In the Nicaraguan embassy he was received by the ambassador of Nicaragua in Kuwait, Mazier Oscar Aranda.

Rene Nunez Tellez, was a historic leader and member of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN).

New York, 19 September 2016.The economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States remains an absurd and morally unsustainable policy. It has not served its purpose of bending the decision of the Cuban people to determine its political system and control its future.

The development achieved by Cuba in the Public Health sector for over 58 years is undeniable. Cuba´s indicators, which are widely recognized in international fora, are a proof of this. However, this sector has not been exempt from the rigorous implementation of the genocidal blockade.

First of all, I wish to acknowledge the excellent work carried out by the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the head of the NAM Chapter in Vienna and in a broader sense, the Iranian government in holding the Presidency of the Movement along these four years in the context of a complex international scenario.
 

THE DIRECTIVE OF CUBAN RESIDENTS IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES DEBATE ON REPORT OF CUBA ABOUT BLOCKADE

The Ambassador of Cuba met with the directive of the small Cuban community in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, within the framework of which the presentation of the report of Cuba was made, on the resolution 70 / 5 of the United Nations Assembly General "The need to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba."

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran will visit Cuba

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Responding to an invitation by Army General Raul Castro Ruz, next September 18th the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Dr. Hassan Rouhani, will start an official visit to Cuba. He will arrive to Havana from Venezuela, where he is going to participate in the XVII Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

 

During his stay on the Island, Dr. Rouhani will hold official talks with his Cuban counterpart and it is expected that important bilateral agreements will be signed in the context of the visit.

 

Minister of State of Education, Youth and Information of Jamaica meets with delegation from the Ministry of Education of Cuba

KINGSTO, JAMAICA, September 14th, 2016.During this afternoon, September 14th, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information of Jamaica, Floyd Green, welcome a Cuban delegation from the Ministry of Education, headed by Mijail Benavides, head of Cooperation at the Department of International Relations, and Cuban Ambassador, Bernardo Guanche Hernandez.
